Only 6 km outside of Matara and near Koggala the fine Sea turtle
hatchery right on Habaraduwa beach has emerged as a truly impressive
operation which is sheltering many different kinds of sea turtles
such as the green turtles, the olive Ridley turtles, the giant leather
turtles and many more.
