Unawatuna Nightlife

Since a few years Nightlife has a special meaning in Unawatuna with many venues blasting their dance music all over the bay. And certainly, nights can be very long in Una :-))

Certainly the Kingfisher Parties have been setting the trend during the 2009 season with many top DJs from Colombo and other parts of the world.

During off season Unawatuna bay had seen good nights at Happy Banana, Kingfisher and the Diving Center.

Each has it`s strong and weak points and obviously it had been a matter of "vibes and karma" deciding about a good or less convincing night.

Always convincing had been the cocktails at the Diving Center and the pricing at Happy Banana.

Apart from that visitors can rely on the same choice of music that had dragged the crowd on the floor in recent years.

Also the competition has led to a regular, weekly cycle of party nights instead of bugging guests with too much choice.

Each night is owned by one of the ruling venues which also prevents an overdose of soundblasts that could turn off those, who would like to sleep a little earlier.
